2026 Minano Oyahana Riverside (みなの親鼻河原, below Oyahana Bridge) Full-Day Course

A full-day course starring “Minano Oyahana Riverside” (みなの親鼻河原), which spreads out at the foot of Oyahana Bridge on the Arakawa River in Minano Town, Chichibu District. From late April through September it is open on weekends and public holidays from 8:30 to 17:00, and in August it is open every day, so it is easy to plan any time during the summer holidays. In the morning, first head to Nagatoro Iwadatami (長瀞岩畳), where the flat rock terraces also called the Chichibu Red Cliff (秩父赤壁) spread out. Walk along the mountain stream of the Arakawa and enjoy the distinctive rock formations and clear-water views. Next, ride the Hodosan Ropeway (宝登山ロープウェイ) for a stroll through the air to the summit and take in the sweeping panorama over the Chichibu Basin. After lunch on the riverbank or nearby, return to Oyahana Riverside and enjoy water play in the clear flow of the Arakawa. The water has the chill typical of a mountain stream, so soaking in it during the sunlit hours is recommended.
