2026 Kawasemi Riverside (かわせみ河原) Full-Day Course
A full-day course starring “Kawasemi Riverside” (かわせみ河原), a river play spot on the Arakawa River flowing through Yorii Town, Osato District. Hours are 9:00 to 17:00, and this riverbed, long loved as a base for canoeing and drive-in camping, also bustles with families enjoying barbecues. In the morning, first visit Hachigata Castle Park (鉢形城公園), counted among Japan's 100 Fine Castles, and walk the historic site where traces of a Sengoku-period castle remain. Then head to the Saitama Prefectural Museum of the Rivers (埼玉県立川の博物館), where you can enjoy learning about the relationship between the Arakawa and people's lives. Deepen your interest in rivers through hands-on exhibits, including a huge waterwheel, a water obstacle course and a thrilling theater-style river descent, then head off for water play. After lunch, it is finally time for Kawasemi Riverside. Enjoy plenty of water play in the clear flow of the Arakawa until evening. A full-day course only Yorii Town can offer, letting you taste a history walk and water play in one go.
