2026 Yoshino River (吉野川, Yoshino Town) Full-Day Course

A full-day course starring the Yoshino River (吉野川), which flows through Yoshino Town, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture. Barbecuing and similar activities outside designated areas are prohibited, but the riverside is open at all times, making it easy to visit in any season. In the morning, first pay your respects at Kinpusenji Temple (金峯山寺), registered as a World Cultural Heritage site, and savor the solemn atmosphere of a place known for cherry blossoms and as a sacred ground of Shugendo. Then stop at Michi-no-Eki Yoshinoji Oyodo i Center (道の駅 吉野路大淀iセンター) and get lunch ready while browsing local specialties. After lunch, it is finally time for the Yoshino River. Enjoy unhurried water play in its clear flow during the hours when the sun is high. A day when families can fully soak up the nature of Yoshino, surrounded by deep green mountains.
