2026 Oiso Swimming Beach Full-Day Course
A one-day course that makes the most of the seaside town where Shonan began, from morning onward, starring Oiso Swimming Beach (including Terigasaki), open from Sunday, July 12 to Sunday, August 30, 2026. In the morning, visit the Former Yoshida Shigeru Residence while taking in the history of Oiso, also known as the site of Japan's first swimming beach, then stroll Shigitatsuan, known as a hermitage linked to haiku. The climax is Oiso Swimming Beach in the afternoon. A venerable beach dating back to the Meiji era, its appeal lies in sands with a calm, composed atmosphere. Swimming hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Take breaks at a beach hut and enjoy the sea to the full until evening. Why not pack a swimsuit and towel and head out to Oiso in summer?
