2026 Koura Beach Full-Day Course
This one-day course centers on Koura Beach (子浦海水浴場) in Minami-Izu, Shizuoka, which is open from Monday, July 27 to Sunday, August 16, 2026, letting you enjoy the nature of the southernmost area of the Izu Peninsula. In the morning, first take the free monorail across the cape to Hagachizaki Monkey Bay (波勝崎モンキーベイ), a paradise for wild monkeys. Take in sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean from the cape, home to what are said to be several hundred Japanese macaques. Next, head to Cape Irozaki (石廊崎), the southernmost cape of the Izu Peninsula, and enjoy the majestic view from the cliffs where a white lighthouse stands. After touring these scenic spots, it's finally time for Koura Beach. On the quiet sandy beach cradled by a cove, you can fully enjoy everything from splashing in the shallows to playing in the sand until evening. It's a day where you can forget the bustle of the city and relax while enjoying both nature and the sea unique to the southernmost tip of Minami-Izu. It's a good idea to check the latest information on fees and facilities in advance. Why not bring your swimsuit and towel and head to Minami-Izu this summer?
