2026 Bentenyama Park Water Play Area: A Full Day of Fun

A course for a full day of play close to home, built around the Bentenyama Park Water Play Area (弁天山公園) inside Bentenyama Park (弁天山公園) in Suzuka City. According to Suzuka City's Water Feature Operation Information (as of June 2026), the fountain and other water features begin running on Thursday, June 11, with water flowing between 9:00 and 21:00. Use is free, and along with the water play area there is a fountain, a slide, swings and a sandpit, so everyone from toddlers to elementary schoolers can play together. General restrooms, an accessible restroom and running water are all in place, so changing clothes and staying hydrated are easy. Because a shopping center stands right next door, lunch and last-minute supplies are never a problem. In the morning, look at earthenware and haniwa clay figures at the Suzuka City Archaeological Museum (鈴鹿市考古博物館), then walk freely through the neighboring Ise Kokubunji Temple Ruins (伊勢国分寺跡) for a moment in touch with ancient Suzuka. After an unhurried lunch, spend the afternoon splashing away at the water play area. The sun stays high in this season, so even playing until evening leaves you an easy pace. The facility is scheduled to be shut down for cleaning on Tuesday, August 4, so plan around that one day.
