2026 Suzuka Flower Park Water Play Area: A Full Day of Fun

A course for playing out a full day close to home, built around the "Suzuka Flower Park Water Play Area" in Suzuka Flower Park in Suzuka City. According to Suzuka City's Water Feature Operation Information (as of June 2026), the fountain and other water features begin running on Tuesday, June 16, with water flowing between 9:00 and 16:00. Use is free, and Suzuka City lists a water play area among the park's facilities. This park's signature attraction is a large combination play structure that brings together 24 kinds of equipment, including a roller slide and a mountain road. Inclusive play equipment that everyone can enjoy together has also been installed, so siblings of different ages and different physical situations can spend time in the same place, which is reassuring. Flower Hill and Cherry Blossom Plaza spread out across the grounds, and laying a picnic sheet in the shade turns any spot into a lunch place. In the morning, take a trip out to Ishiyakushi, which prospered as a post town on the Tokaido, and visit Ishiyakushi-ji Temple (石薬師寺) and the memorial museum of the poet Sasaki Nobutsuna to touch the history of this land. In the afternoon, return to the park; working up a sweat on the play equipment before cooling off at the water play area makes for a comfortable flow. The water features stop at 16:00, so working backwards from that and arriving at the park early is recommended. The facility is scheduled to be shut down for cleaning on Monday, August 3, so plan around that one day.
