2026 Keihanna Commemorative Park Lawn Plaza Stream Full-Day Course

In a park spreading across the science city of Seika Town, Soraku District, there is a waterside you can enjoy for free, the Keihanna Commemorative Park Lawn Plaza Stream. In a typical year water play is possible in summer, and the 2026 period when water will run has not been announced. The park is open from 9:00 to 17:00 (last admission 16:30) and closed over the New Year period (12/28-1/4). The venue is Keihanna Commemorative Park in Seika Town, Soraku District, where a shallow stream runs along a lawn plaza terraced like rice paddies. Use of the lawn plaza is free, and only Suikeien Garden and Mebuki Forest charge admission, at 220 yen for adults, 110 yen for primary and junior high school students and free for pre-school children. The plaza also has playground equipment for children, so when they tire of the water you can switch to the playground and stay for a long while. About 300 cherry trees are planted here, so in summer their grove makes a cool place to rest, which is another welcome point. In the morning, pay your respects at Hosono Shrine (祝園神社), an ancient shrine in Seika Town, then walk slowly through Kangetsukyo Bridge (観月橋) and the garden of Suikeien. At lunch, spread out a packed lunch on the lawn plaza, and in the afternoon play in the stream. Because the water is built to run down terraced ground, you can play while walking from upstream to downstream, a pleasure unique to this waterside.
