2026 LOGOS LAND: The Stream beside Vancouver Fort - A Full One-Day Course
In the outdoor complex spread across Konosuyama hill in Joyo City there is a waterside you can enjoy for free: the stream beside Vancouver Fort at LOGOS LAND (Joyo City General Sports Park / Konosuyama Sports Park). The 2026 opening period has not been announced; in most years the water runs during the summer holidays. The park is open 9:00-18:00 (varies by season) and closed from 12/29 to 1/3. The venue is LOGOS LAND (Joyo City General Sports Park / Konosuyama Sports Park) in Joyo City, and admission is free. BBQ and lodging cost extra, but if you stick to the play equipment and the water you can spend a whole day without paying a yen. The stream is a shallow brook running beside the large wooden athletic structure called Vancouver Fort, and its greatest appeal is being able to go straight from playing on the equipment and building up a sweat into the water. The park also has a 13,000 m² great lawn, a bouncy dome and a roller slide up to 140 m long, so there is plenty to do besides the water. In the morning, pay a visit to Mito Shrine (水度神社), a shrine with a long history recorded in the Engishiki, then spend time getting to know Joyo at the planetarium and the Museum of History and Folklore in Bunka Parc Joyo. At noon spread out your bento on the great lawn, and in the afternoon shuttle between Vancouver Fort and the stream. Because the park makes full use of the hillside terrain, you get the height of the play equipment and the coolness of the water at the same time - a day that only this place can give you.
