2026 Harima Chuo Park Children's Stream (兵庫県立播磨中央公園 子どもの小川) Full-Day Course
The Harima Chuo Park Children's Stream (兵庫県立播磨中央公園 子どもの小川) in Kato City is an artificial brook about 160 meters long, located in the Central Plaza Zone. In a typical year the water runs from around Friday, March 20 to around Monday, November 30, that is from late March to late November. The confirmed 2026 schedule has not been announced yet, and the flow may be halted temporarily for pump adjustments (in 2026 adjustments are planned from July 31 to August 7), so check the park's latest notices before you go. A major feature of this brook is that water flows not only in summer but also in spring and autumn, so wading through it in the milder seasons is a pleasant way to spend time. The surroundings are ringed with lawn and benches, making it easy for families to set down their bags and create a base from which to watch over the children. Admission is free. In the morning, head to Toryunada (闘竜灘), where strange rocks spread across the riverbed of the Kako River (加古川). The bold scene of water racing between the rocks is the signature sight of this area. After that, enter Harima Chuo Park (播磨中央公園), walk through the Garden of the Four Seasons (四季の庭), and lay out your lunch box on the lawn. In the afternoon, follow the 160-meter flow of the Harima Chuo Park Children's Stream (兵庫県立播磨中央公園 子どもの小川) and play there for the rest of the day.
