2026 Nozoe-kita Park (野添北公園) Hadaka-no-Ike Pond Full-Day Course

Nozoe-kita Park's Hadaka-no-Ike Pond (野添北公園 はだかの池), in Harima Town, Kako District, is an artificial pond where you can play in the water. The park itself is open year-round from Thursday, January 1 through Thursday, December 31, but water play is mainly available during summer, and the operating period and hours are not publicly announced. Because of this, it's best to check the situation with the town's information beforehand or confirm whether water has been filled before heading out. Admission is free. The same park also has 'Little Kids Plaza' (ちびっこ広場), which has combination playground equipment, and the lawn area 'Barefoot Forest' (はだしの森), so you can spend the day switching between activities, playground equipment when you've had enough of the water, and the lawn when your body has cooled off. The surroundings are residential, and the sense that it's an easy, everyday spot to drop by is part of its appeal. In the morning, head to nearby Onaka Site (大中遺跡), just a short walk away. The Yayoi-period settlement remains have been turned directly into a park, and you can walk among the reconstructed pit dwellings. At the neighboring Hyogo Prefectural Archaeological Museum (兵庫県立考古博物館), there are exhibits where you can actually pick up excavated tools, designed so kids can learn hands-on. Another highlight is the preserved train car from the Beppu Railway (別府鉄道), once running through this town, on display outside the Harima Town Local History Museum (播磨町郷土資料館). Have lunch around JR Tsuchiyama Station (JR土山駅), then spend the afternoon playing in the water at Nozoe-kita Park's Hadaka-no-Ike Pond until evening.
