2026 Nisshin Park Water Play Area: A Full Day Course

Nisshin Park lies in a residential area between Maruyama and Odori in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, and it is a summer playground for local children. The shallow water play area inside, the Nisshin Park Water Play Area, is open from Monday, June 29 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00, and admission is free. There are no flashy facilities, but it is free of crowds and lets small children get used to the water at their own pace, which is the charm of an in-town water play area. For this day we built the plan around visiting Sapporo's cultural facilities in the morning and devoting the afternoon to water play. In the morning, encounter works connected to Hokkaido at the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, then walk the green gardens of the Hokkaido Governor's Official Residence. At lunchtime, take a proper break in an air-conditioned spot at Maruyama Class, directly connected to Maruyama-koen Station. In the afternoon, change into swimwear and head for Nisshin Park. Everything is grouped within walking distance of Nishi-18-chome Station and Nishi-28-chome Station on the subway, so you can get around without a car, which is one of this area's conveniences.
