2026 Kamiebetsu-Minamimachi Park Water Play Area: A Full Day Course
This is a free one-day course built around the Kamiebetsu-Minamimachi Park Water Play Area in Ebetsu City. The opening period for 2026 has not been announced yet, but in most years the water is turned on to match the summer holidays. The good thing about this park is that it has a lawn, a fountain and wooden play equipment all together, so children can move to the play equipment when they tire of the water and flop down on the grass when they are worn out, following their own mood. In the morning, visit the Ebetsu City Ceramic Art Center. Blessed with fine clay, Ebetsu is a town of bricks, and this facility is unique to it, letting you see displays of pottery and bricks and touch on the town's story of earth. For lunch, head to EBRI, a complex that makes use of a former brick factory building. Surrounded by red brick walls, you can enjoy meals made with local ingredients and do some shopping. In the afternoon it is finally time for the Kamiebetsu-Minamimachi Park Water Play Area, where children can run around the fountain until evening. Earth, brick and water: the character of Ebetsu is threaded together in a single line. Opening conditions change from year to year, so checking the Ebetsu City information before you go is reassuring.
