2026 Taihei Park (太平公園) Water Play Area: Full-Day Course

In summer, a water play area with a water slide appears at Taihei Park (太平公園) in Kita-ku, Sapporo. The Taihei Park Water Play Area (Water Slide) is open from Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 9:00 to 16:00, and admission is free. The slide has two lanes, and cheers go up every time someone takes their turn down it. A shallow water play area is provided as well, so little ones who are still afraid to slide can enjoy themselves starting with just dipping their feet in. For this day we built the plan around enjoying scenery unique to Kita-ku in the morning and devoting the afternoon to water play. First head to Okadama Airport (丘珠空港). At this small airport in the middle of town, the time spent watching planes take off and land up close becomes an unforgettable experience for children. Next move to Yurigahara Park, known as a flower park, for a packed lunch on the broad lawn. In the afternoon, change into swimsuits and head for Taihei Park. The operating period may shift depending on weather conditions, so check whether it is open on the day before you set out. It is a course that feels very much like Kita-ku, linking airplanes, flowers, and water play in a single day.
