2026 Hinomaru Park Water Play Area: Full-Day Course

Hinomaru Park sits in a residential neighborhood in Higashi Ward, Sapporo, close to Sapporo Okadama Airport (札幌丘珠空港). The shallow Hinomaru Park Water Play Area inside the park is open from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00, and use is free. Because it is built shallow, even small children who are afraid of water can start by dipping their feet and get used to it gradually. It is a playground for children from the neighborhood, so it never gets crowded and you can spend your time at your own pace, which is the charm of this park. For this day we built the morning around experiences you can only have in Higashi Ward. First comes Sapporo Okadama Airport, close enough to walk to. At this small airport in the middle of town, you can follow the whole sequence with your own eyes as a propeller plane starts up, rolls down the runway and rises into the air. Next, move on to Sapporo Satland to enjoy rental bicycles and the activity workshop on the wide farm grounds, with a packed lunch on the lawn. In the afternoon, change into swimsuits and return to Hinomaru Park. It is a course full of Higashi Ward character, linking airplanes, farmland and water play in a single day.
