2026 Bansei Park (万生公園) Water Play Area Full-Day Course

The Bansei Park Water Play Area is a free summer-only water play spot that appears in Bansei Park (万生公園) in Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo. In 2026 it is open from Friday, July 10 to Monday, August 31, from 10:00 to 16:30. The venue is Bansei Park in Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo, and along with the shallow water play area there is also a combination play structure, so you can move back and forth all day: play equipment when the water gets old, back to the water when you get cold. That flexibility is this park's strength. Admission is free, so with just swimwear and a towel you can head out on a whim. In the morning, visit the Sapporo Picture Book Library near the Shiroishi Ward Office. It is an unusual library devoted entirely to picture books, and the space where children can sit on the floor to read captivates younger kids in particular. At lunchtime, move to Sapporo Factory, built on the former site of the Kaitakushi Beer Brewery, and eat at a relaxed pace while cooling off in the glass-roofed atrium. In the afternoon, return to Bansei Park, change into swimwear, and go back and forth between the play structure and the water until closing time.
