2026 Higashi 2-jo Park Water Play Area Full-Day Course
The Higashi 2-jo Park Water Play Area is a free water play spot that appears only in summer at Higashi 2-jo Park (東2条公園) in Toyohira Ward, Sapporo. It usually runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Monday, August 31, from 9:00 to 17:00, and the City of Sapporo's notice gives the period as early July to late August. The venue is Higashi 2-jo Park in Toyohira Ward, Sapporo, and because the water is shallow, even little ones can put their feet in and play within their parents' sight. Admission is free, and it stays open from morning until evening, so it helps that you can choose the hours that fit your family's plans. In the morning, head to the Green Center in Toyohira Park, in the same Toyohira Ward. Inside the greenhouse the green is deep enough to make you forget the heat outside, and simply walking around following the name tags turns into time spent observing. At midday, move to Tsukisamu Park, spread a picnic sheet in the shade and eat your lunch. Gaze at the pond with its rowing boats, or get moving on the large play equipment built into the slope. Then return to Higashi 2-jo Park, change into swimwear and play in the spray until evening. Greenhouse greenery, a big park and a neighborhood water play area — an unhurried day assembled entirely within Toyohira Ward. Opening may change because of weather or cleaning, so check the City of Sapporo's information before you set out.
