2026 Yamanote Kusabue Park Water Play Area: A Full Day of Fun

A one-day course linking the hills and streets of Nishi Ward, starring 「Yamanote Kusabue Park Water Play Area」, the free water play spot at Yamanote Kusabue Park in Nishi Ward, Sapporo. The season runs from Saturday, June 6 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, hours are 9:00 to 17:00, and admission is free. The water is shallow, so even small children can enter with peace of mind. In the morning, head to Mt. Sankakuyama (三角山), the symbol of Nishi Ward. It is a low mountain right beside the built-up area with well-maintained trails, so even families with children can climb as far as is comfortable and enjoy the forest air. Looking down at the city through gaps in the trees, you can see all the way to the area around the park where you will play later. At lunchtime, move to Chieria in Miyanosawa for a meal and a breather. It is a large facility with a library room, so you can prepare for the afternoon in the cool indoors. In the afternoon, move to the Yamanote Kusabue Park Water Play Area and splash about until closing at 17:00. Mountain walking, an indoor break, and water play - three very different kinds of time, gathered within a 10-minute drive of each other.
