2026 Sakura Park Water Play Area: A Full Day Course

A one-day course that stays entirely within the Miyanosawa area, built around the free Sakura Park Water Play Area in Sakura Park (桜公園) in Nishi-ku, Sapporo. It is open from Saturday, June 6, 2026 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 9:00 to 17:00, admission is free, and the water is shallow, so even small children can wade in safely. In the morning, walk a short distance to Shiroi Koibito Park, where buildings reminiscent of an English townscape and a rose garden spread out; simply strolling and taking photos lifts your mood. There is also a paid tour area where you can watch the sweets-making process, so you can shape the visit around your interests. After lunch, cool off with a walk through the woods of Miyagaoka Park (宮丘公園). In the afternoon, move to the Sakura Park Water Play Area and splash about until it closes at 17:00. All three spots are within 10 minutes of one another by car, and if you start from Miyanosawa Subway Station they are close enough to cover on foot. It is an itinerary very much in the spirit of Nishi-ku, filling a whole day without traveling far.
