2026 Kasuga Green Space Water Play Area: A Full Day Course

A neighborhood outing course that stays entirely within the Hassamu (発寒) area, built around Kasuga Green Space Water Play Area, a free water play area in Kasuga Green Space (春日緑地) in Nishi Ward, Sapporo. The season runs from Saturday, June 6, 2026 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, hours are 9:00 to 17:00, and admission is free. The water is shallow, so even small children can safely dip their feet in. In the morning, visit Hassamu Shrine (発寒神社). Although it stands in a part of Hassamu where homes and factories sit side by side, the air changes the moment you pass through the torii gate and enter the grove. Long loved as the local guardian shrine, it is a good chance to go over the etiquette of the purification basin and the prayer together with your children. For lunch, move to AEON Sapporo Hassamu and let everyone pick their own favorite at the food court. Anything you are missing, such as swim diapers, towels or drinks, can be topped up here. In the afternoon, head to Kasuga Green Space Water Play Area and splash around until closing at 17:00. Each leg takes about ten minutes by car, and the convenience of the Hassamu area is that you can reach it from either the subway or the JR line.
