2026 Sanae Natsudori Green Space Water Play Area: A Full Day to Enjoy

This is a relaxed one-day outing course built around the Sanae Natsudori Green Space Water Play Area, a free water play spot in the Sanae Natsudori Green Space in Kiyota-ku, Sapporo. According to the City of Sapporo, it is open from Sunday, July 5, 2026 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 9:00 to 17:00, running for 50 days from the first Sunday of July. Admission is free, and because the water is shallow, even small children who cannot swim yet can safely touch the water. In the morning, visit the Hiraoka Arboricultural Center, known for its maple avenue and satsuki azalea mounds. It is a Japanese-style arboretum managed by the City of Sapporo, and its shady paths keep you cool even under the summer sun. Have a proper lunch at AEON Mall Sapporo Hiraoka and buy any extra drinks or towels there so the afternoon is light and easy. Then it is finally time for the Sanae Natsudori Green Space Water Play Area, where you can splash around until evening.
