2026 Kasumi Park Splash Pool (香澄公園) Full-Day Course

A course for a full day of play close to home, starring the Kasumi Park Splash Pool, the free water-play area in Kasumi Prefectural Park (県立香澄公園) in Narashino City (習志野市). The 2026 season runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, September 30, when the large splash pool with its fountain is open. Opening hours are not stated officially, so checking the Narashino City notice for the day before you leave will put your mind at ease. As a rule the pool cannot be used on Thursdays for cleaning, and on Friday mornings the water may not have filled up yet, leaving the level low and the fountain off. Use is free, and there are two free parking areas (75 spaces in total), so it is an easy water-play spot to reach by car. In the morning, take a good look at the creatures of the tidal flat and the migratory birds that remain in Tokyo Bay (東京湾) at the Yatsu Tidal Flat Nature Observation Center. Have a proper lunch at AEON Mall Tsudanuma and top up on spare clothes and drinks. In the afternoon, return at last to Kasumi Park and play to your heart's content in the spray of the fountain. Because it combines indoor and outdoor stops, you can get through the day at a comfortable pace even in midsummer.
