2026 Kyoei Park Wading Pool Full-Day Course
For the summer only, a water playground appears in Kyoei Park in Asahikawa City. The Kyoei Park Wading Pool (共栄公園 徒渉池) is a free water play area open from Monday, June 1 to Monday, August 31, 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00. The venue is Kyoei Park in Asahikawa City, and because it is a shallow wading pool, even children who have only just started walking can play within a parent's reach. Since it costs nothing, children can get in and out again and again at their own pace, which is the greatest virtue of a park wading pool. In the morning, first visit the Otokoyama Sake Brewing Museum and learn about the history of Asahikawa sake brewing, born from the underground water of the Daisetsuzan mountain range and from rice. Knowing where the water you are about to play in comes from makes the afternoon wading pool feel much closer. For lunch, savor a soy sauce ramen fragrant with browned lard at Hachiya Gojo Founding Store (蜂屋 五条創業店), a long-established name in Asahikawa ramen. Afterwards, stroll the Heiwa-dori Shopping Park (平和通買物公園), born as Japan's first permanent pedestrian street, and enjoy the air of the city. In the afternoon, change into swimwear and head to the Kyoei Park Wading Pool, splashing away until the 17:00 closing time. It may be closed due to weather or water quality management, so checking Asahikawa City's information for that day before you set out is reassuring.
