2026 Toko Fureai Park Wading Pool Full-Day Course
Toko Fureai Park, in a residential neighborhood of Toko in Asahikawa City, becomes a place where children's voices never stop once summer arrives. Toko Fureai Park Wading Pool is a free water-play spot open from June 1 (Mon) to August 31 (Mon), 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00. The venue is Toko Fureai Park in Asahikawa City, and since the wading pool is shallow, roughly ankle to knee deep, even small children can play within easy sight of a parent. The fountain is out of service due to a breakdown, but the wading pool operates as before, so a visit for water play will not disappoint. In the morning, go to the nearby Asahikawa City Science Center Sci-Pal, where the planetarium and exhibits such as a room that lets you feel minus 30 degrees make the climate of this land itself something you can learn through play. For lunch, head out to the area in front of Asahikawa Station (旭川駅) and take a leisurely meal and rest indoors. After eating, walk through Asahikawa Kitasaito Garden, which spreads out on the south side of the station, and catch the breeze off the Chubetsu River (忠別川) to prepare for the afternoon. In the afternoon, change into swimwear and return to Toko Fureai Park Wading Pool, splashing about until the 17:00 close. It may close depending on weather or water-quality management, so check the Asahikawa City announcements before you head out.
