2026 Teine Greenway Seseragi Stream Full-Day Course
A one-day course tracing the waterfronts of Teine Ward, with the Teine Greenway Seseragi Stream on the Teine Greenway in Teine Ward, Sapporo City (札幌市手稲区) as its star. The stream usually runs from around Wednesday, July 1 to around Monday, August 31, from 9:00 to 17:00, and Sapporo City's information gives the period as early July to late August. Admission is free. Because a shallow channel runs alongside the walking path, you can stroll and dip your feet in wherever you like. In the morning, head to Hoshioki Green Space (星置緑地), known for its colonies of Asian skunk cabbage. In summer the wetland is covered in green, and you can observe waterside plants and creatures from the boardwalk. Next, walk on to Hoshioki Falls. The volume of water is hard to believe for a spot just a short way in from a residential area, and the air in front of the basin is refreshingly cold. After lunch, the afternoon belongs to the Teine Greenway Seseragi Stream. Walk along the channel under a continuous canopy of trees and play freely with the water, upstream and downstream. Seeing three different faces of water in a single day, wetland, waterfall and stream, is what makes this course fun.
