2026 Funabashi Andersen Park (ふなばしアンデルセン公園) Rainbow Pond Full-Day Course
This is a course for spending a full day playing at 'Funabashi Andersen Park's Rainbow Pond' (ふなばしアンデルセン公園 にじの池), the water play area at Funabashi Andersen Park (ふなばしアンデルセン公園) in Funabashi City. In 2026 it can be enjoyed from Wednesday, July 1 through Wednesday, September 30, from 9:30 to 17:00. In a typical year, lifeguards are stationed during Golden Week and from July through September, and water quality is managed in accordance with Funabashi City's swimming pool guidelines. It's open until 17:00 from July 20 through August 31 and on weekends and holidays, and until 16:00 on other weekdays; outside these hours, the style of play doesn't involve putting your face in the water. The Rainbow Pond is located within the Wanpaku Kingdom Zone (ワンパク王国ゾーン), and using it is itself free (a separate park admission fee applies: 900 yen for adults, 600 yen for high schoolers, 200 yen for elementary and junior high schoolers, 100 yen for young children age 4 and up, and free for those 65 and older). There's a shop and restrooms inside the park, so being able to spend the whole day at this one park is a big appeal. In the morning, look around the heart-shaped topiary and fairy-tale play equipment in the Flower Castle Zone, then spend some hands-on time in the Children's Art Museum Zone. Rest in the shade of the Nature Experience Zone at lunch, then splash to your heart's content at the Rainbow Pond in the afternoon.
