2026 Kita-Kashiwa Furusato Park Jabu-Jabu Pond Full-Day Course
A course for a full day of play close to home, built around 「Kita-Kashiwa Furusato Park Jabu-Jabu Pond」, a free water play area in Kita-Kashiwa Furusato Park in Kashiwa City. In 2026 it is open from Friday, July 17 to Monday, August 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed from Saturday, August 1 to Monday, August 3 and from Monday, August 17 to Tuesday, August 18, and it may also be cancelled because of rain or heavy rain the previous day. Because it is a facility for wading, you cannot swim or put your face in the water, and large floats (over 60 cm) cannot be used either. It is free to use and sits inside an open, spacious park spreading across the western end of Lake Tega (手賀沼). Spend the morning taking in the literary atmosphere by the lakeside, walking to the Shirakaba Literary Museum (白樺文学館) and the Site of Shiga Naoya's Residence (志賀直哉邸跡). At lunchtime, open your lunch boxes on the lawn at Teganuma Park (手賀沼公園) and rest a while in the breeze off the water. In the afternoon, move to Kita-Kashiwa Furusato Park and send the spray flying in the Jabu-Jabu Pond.
