2026 Yakuendai Park Wading Pool (薬円台公園 徒渉池) Full-Day Course
A course built around the free water play spot Yakuendai Park Wading Pool (薬円台公園 徒渉池) in Yakuendai Park in Funabashi City, letting you enjoy a full day close to home. In 2026 it is open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, September 6, in two sessions: 10:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00. It closes when the water temperature or the air temperature is below 23 degrees Celsius, and also in bad weather or when a photochemical smog advisory is issued. The wading pool is shallow and has a small slide, making it just right for a child's first time playing in water. Sun shelters and tents may not be set up, so plan on making good use of the shade of the trees. Admission is free, so you can also keep the visit short and finish up whenever your child has had enough. In the morning, take your time at the Funabashi City Museum of Local History in the same park to learn about the daily life and industrial history of Funabashi. At noon, spread out lunch on the park lawn and move about a little on the large play equipment. In the afternoon it is finally time for the wading pool, where you can ride the slide and splash to your heart's content.
