2026 Sakagawa Waterside Plaza Splash Pond Full-Day Course
A course built around the free water play spot Sakagawa Waterside Plaza Splash Pond at Sakagawa Waterside Plaza (坂川親水広場) in Matsudo City, letting you enjoy a full day close to home. In 2026 it is open from Wednesday, July 1 to Monday, August 31, from 9:00 to 17:00. Listed on the Matsudo City waterside map, the spot has restrooms, benches and a drinking fountain, so even families with small children can spend time here with peace of mind. The parking lot is on the opposite bank, so if you come by car, check where to park in advance. Admission is free, so you can also just drop in for a short while. In the morning, pay your respects at Matsudo Shrine and feel the air of a place that flourished as a post town from the Edo period. Then climb up to Tojogaoka Historical Park to see the Tojo-tei Residence where Tokugawa Akitake lived, along with its garden. At noon, eat properly at the shopping complex in front of Matsudo Station and stock up on spare clothes and drinks. In the afternoon, move to Sakagawa Waterside Plaza and play at a relaxed pace, sending up sprays of water at the riverside.
