2026 Chiba Zoological Park Central Plaza Fountain Full-Day Course
A course for a full day of fun built around the water play spot Chiba Zoological Park Central Plaza Fountain at Chiba Zoological Park in Wakaba Ward, Chiba City. The Central Plaza fountain uses well water, and what makes it special is that you can play both with water shooting up from below and water falling from above. It is listed as a park facility and service, and the fountain itself can be enjoyed free of charge (park admission is charged separately). There is no official statement of the operating period, and it may be suspended for reasons such as breakdowns, so check the park information on the day before you set out. The opening period has not been announced; in past years it has run during the summer holiday season. In the morning, visit the Special Historic Site of the Kasori Shell Mounds in the same Wakaba Ward, see with your own eyes the shell layers left by the Jomon people, and feel in your body just how old this land is. After lunch, head to Chiba Zoological Park in the afternoon. Once you have enjoyed the Animal Science Museum and the red pandas, wrap things up in the spray of the Central Plaza fountain. It is a distinctly Chiba City arrangement, linking animals, history and water play in a single day.
Schedule
