2026: A Full Day at Osu Disaster Prevention Park Jabujabu Pond / Water Play Channel
This course puts the spotlight on Osu Disaster Prevention Park Jabujabu Pond / Water Play Channel, a free water-play area in Osu Disaster Prevention Park in Ichikawa City, for a full day of play close to home. A water play channel runs near the central plaza, and because it is shallow with a gentle current, even small children can get used to the water with peace of mind. A roofed rest shelter stands right beside it, so families can keep watch out of the sun, which is a real help. The opening period has not been announced; in most years it opens during the summer holidays. The city's official page does not list the dates either, so please check with the park management office (047-379-3577) before you go. Admission is free, so you can also just drop by for a short while. In the morning you take in the view and the history from the hilltop of Satomi Park on the Konodai Castle ruins overlooking the Edogawa River, then visit Guhoji Temple in Mama and Tekona Reijindo Shrine. For lunch, eat well at Nikke Colton Plaza and restock on changes of clothes and drinks. In the afternoon, move to Osu Disaster Prevention Park and take your time following the flow of the channel.
