2026 Nonoshita Waterside Park Water Channel (野々下水辺公園 親水水路) Full-Day Course
A course for a full day of play close to home, starring the free water play spot known as the Nonoshita Waterside Park Water Channel (野々下水辺公園 親水水路) in Nagareyama City (流山市). It is a park where you can walk right into the channel. According to Nagareyama City, the water runs from 8:00 to 18:00 in summer, 8:00 to 17:00 in autumn and 9:00 to 16:00 in winter, and the flow itself is managed by the Tone River Downstream River Office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. No opening period is stated, so please check before you set out. The opening period has not been announced, and in past years it has been open during the summer holidays. Admission is free, so a short stop works just as well. In the morning, visit the Issa Soju Memorial Hall (一茶双樹記念館) in Nagareyama Honcho (流山本町). In the restored merchant house and garden that Kobayashi Issa (小林一茶) is said to have visited many times, you can feel the air of Nagareyama in the Edo period. Have a proper lunch at the Nagareyama Otakanomori Shopping Center and restock changes of clothes and drinks. In the afternoon, move to Nonoshita Waterside Park and play at an easy pace until evening, following the flow of the channel.
