2026 Noe Fureai Park Splash Pond Full-Day Course

A course for spending a day in a town close to the Kujukuri (九十九里) coast, starring the Noe Fureai Park Splash Pond in Sosa City (匝瑳市). Alongside the Splash Pond, the park has a roller slide, an adventure playground and a multipurpose field, so you can go back and forth between water and play equipment all day long. Admission is free. The 2026 opening period has not been announced; in past years the water has been turned on during the summer holidays. In the morning, visit the Matsuyama Garden Art Museum (松山庭園美術館) to see the beautifully tended garden and its artworks, and to meet the cats that live on the grounds. Before noon, move to Fureai Park Yokaichiba, choose vegetables and fruit brought in by local farmers, and pick up lunch and snacks. Carry your purchases to Noe Fureai Park and enjoy a relaxed lunch in the shade. In the afternoon, splash about to your heart's content in the Splash Pond and combine it with the roller slide and the adventure playground to play until evening. An art museum, a farmers market and water play: three places with completely different characters, linked by short journeys, in a way that feels true to this area.
