2026 Hanashima Park (花島公園) Keiryuen Stream Garden / Fountain Plaza: Full-Day Fun Course
This is a course for a full day of play close to home, built around the free water play area at Hanashima Park (花島公園) in Hanamigawa Ward, Chiba City: the Hanashima Park Keiryuen Stream Garden / Fountain Plaza. It brings together the Keiryuen Stream Garden, where a stream about 200 m long runs on from a waterfall, and the Fountain Plaza with its three fountain stones, and being able to play while walking from upstream to downstream is a way of enjoying the day unique to this park. The opening period has not been announced; in past years it has opened during the summer holidays. The city's official page does not state the operating period either, so check before you set out. Admission is free, so you can also drop in for just a short while. In the morning, visit Hanashima Kannon, or Tenpukuji Temple (天福寺), standing right beside the park, and take in the quiet of a place that has drawn worshippers since long ago. After that, return to the Lawn Plaza (芝生広場) in Hanashima Park, spread out your lunch in the shade and then have a turn on the large play equipment. In the afternoon, spend a relaxed time at the Keiryuen Stream Garden and the Fountain Plaza, chasing the flow of the water.
Schedule
