2026 Wakamatsu 2-chome Harappa Park Fountain: Full-Day Fun Course
This is a course for a full day of play along Tokyo Bay (東京湾), built around the Wakamatsu 2-chome Harappa Park Fountain in Funabashi City. The fountain in this park is activated by a foot sensor: water shoots up when a child steps on the sensor. Because the water comes out through your own movement, it is not the kind of play where you only stand and wait. There are also mist sprays, combination play equipment and a rest facility, and it is free to use. The 2026 opening period has not been announced; in past years it operates during the summer holidays. In the morning, go to Funabashi Sanbanze Seaside Park and stroll in the sea breeze while looking at the tidal flats and the sea. Next, have lunch at LaLaport TOKYO-BAY and pick up anything you are short of, such as towels and drinks. In the afternoon, move to Wakamatsu 2-chome Harappa Park and play in the fountain and mist until evening. Because it links three places of completely different character, the sea, shopping and water play, with short moves between them, it works well whether you come by train or by car. Checking the day's operating status in the Funabashi City information before you set out is reassuring.
