2026 Full-Day Course: Kimitsu Central Park Fountain Plaza

This course centers on “Kimitsu Central Park Fountain Plaza” in Kimitsu City and spends a full day in the town center. The fountain operates from Saturday, July 4 through Monday, August 31, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. In July it only runs on the 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, and from the 18th onward, so if you're heading out in mid-July, be sure to check the dates. Besides the fountain plaza, there is also a combination playground and a lawn area, and admission is free. In the morning, start at Hitomi Shrine on a hilltop overlooking Tokyo Bay. Climb to the top of the long stone stairway and you'll get a full view of the industrial zone, the sea, and even the far shore. Next, cool off and choose some books at Kimitsu City Central Library to conserve energy. Have lunch near Kimitsu Station and pick up any extra towels or drinks you need. In the afternoon, move to Kimitsu Central Park and enjoy water play until the fountain stops at 2:45 p.m. Bare feet aren't allowed, so be sure to bring water shoes or sandals.
