2026 Seseragi Park Fountain and Flowing Water: Full-Day Course
A leisurely one-day course along the Kinokawa River, starring the 「Seseragi Park Fountain and Flowing Water」 in Nagura, Koyaguchi-cho, Hashimoto City. This park has an unusual origin: it was created as a waterside park by making good use of the upper part of the Odai Irrigation Canal (小田井用水路), built in the Edo period. Hashimoto City officially describes it as a place where 「every August a fountain and flowing water are run so visitors can enjoy a moment of cool」, making it a spot where you can feel the coolness along with the sound of water through the summer. The specific dates for 2026 have not been announced, so please check Hashimoto City information before you go. There is an arbour, benches and toilets, so families with small children can spend time here with rest breaks along the way. Admission is free. In the morning you visit the World Heritage site Jisonin Temple (慈尊院) and the Kudoyama Sanada Museum, touching on the road to Mount Koya and the stories tied to the Sanada clan. At noon, take a relaxed meal at the Michi-no-Eki Kaki-no-Sato Kudoyama roadside station while browsing local produce. In the afternoon, enjoy the flow of water at Seseragi Park: a day where history and water connect.
