2026 Full-Day Course: Iroha Shinsui Park Water Park
This course centers on the ‘Iroha Shinsui Park Water Park’ (water play area) at Iroha Shinsui Park in Shiki City, walking through the riverside town and finishing the day with water play. The water park is open from Monday, July 13 through Sunday, September 13, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. It is closed all day on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 for the Shikishima Shrine festival, and play is suspended or cancelled during thunder. Admission is free, restrooms in the park are available, and a key feature is that equipment normally used as a combination playground transforms into a water park only during summer. The venue is Iroha Park in the left-bank zone, set amid the scenery where the Shingashi River and the Yanase River meet. In the morning, climb Tagoyama Fujizuka at Shikishima Shrine and experience the small ‘Mt. Fuji’ that the people of Shiki have cherished since the Edo period. At the Shiki City Local History Museum, you can learn about the town's life alongside the river. Have a relaxed lunch in front of Shiki Station, and finally head to the water park in the afternoon. Since it's open for two full months, this is a course you can fit into your summer vacation without difficulty.
