2026 Misato Park Water Play Corner: A Full-Day Course
A one-day course centered on the Misato Park Water Play Corner in Misato Prefectural Park in Misato City, where you walk in the morning and concentrate on the water from midday. In 2026 the water play corner is open only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from Saturday, June 20 to Sunday, August 30, and only for the two hours from 12:00 to 14:00 (cancelled in rain, and suspended during water shortages and similar conditions). Use is free, but there are no changing rooms and pets are not allowed, so you need to prepare for changing clothes on your own. Because the opening is just two hours, the point of this course is how you build the morning around it. In the morning, pay a visit to Togasaki Katori Shrine and take in the atmosphere of life long handed down in this area. After that, work up a sweat on the park's famous large wooden play structure, the Adventure Fort, then spread out a boxed lunch on the lawn plaza. If you enter the water play corner right at 12:00, you can use the full two hours. The waterside scenery looking out toward Mizumoto Park (水元公園) is pleasant too, and a stroll through the park after playing is also recommended.
