2026 Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park Water Play Area: Full-Day Course
A relaxed family day course built around the Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park Water Play Area, located in Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park in Namegawa Town, Hiki District. The water play area is open from Saturday 2 May 2026 to Sunday 27 September 2026, from 9:30 to 16:30 (closed in bad weather). The water play area itself is free; a separate park admission fee applies, at 450 yen for adults, free for junior high school students and younger, and 210 yen for seniors. There are changing rooms, a first-aid station and a shop, and you can keep watch from the surrounding shade, so even families with small children can settle in comfortably. It is open for a long stretch from the May holidays to the end of summer, which makes planning easy. In the morning, meet the creatures of the satoyama countryside at the Namegawa Town Eco Museum Center and learn about the nature unique to this area before heading to the park. Inside the park, bounce to your heart's content on Ponpoko Mountain, one of Japan's largest air trampolines, then recover with lunch at the West Gate Plaza. The afternoon is for the water play area, where you can send up splashes until near evening. The grounds are vast and moving between spots takes time, so an unhurried pace is recommended.
