2026 Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park Musashino Stream: A Full Day of Fun

This is a one-day course of aircraft and water play centered on the Musashino Stream in Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park (所沢航空記念公園) in Tokorozawa City. The stream runs from Saturday, May 30, 2026 to Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 9:00 to 17:00 (operation may be suspended on short notice due to rain or other conditions). Use is free, there are restrooms and a shop, and a wide lawn spreads through the park, so you can set down your belongings and take turns watching the children. Because the park is known as the birthplace of Japanese aviation, touching on the history of flight alongside water play is a pleasure unique to this area. The day begins in the morning at the Tokorozawa Aviation Museum (所沢航空発祥記念館), looking up at real aircraft and marveling at their size. Stop by Tokorozawa Shinmeisha Shrine (所澤神明社), where the air along the approach feels wonderful, then settle in for lunch in front of Tokorozawa Station. In the afternoon, return to the park and play in the shallow flow of the Musashino Stream until evening. Since it operates from late May through late September, it is easy to plan a visit outside the peak of midsummer.
