2026: Full-Day Course at Kita-Urawa Higashi Park Water Play Area (北浦和東公園 水遊び場)
A one-day course starring the Kita-Urawa Higashi Park Water Play Area (北浦和東公園 水遊び場) in Kita-Urawa Higashi Park in Urawa-ku, Saitama City, walking through the town of Urawa and finishing with water. The water play area is open from Saturday 4 July 2026 to Sunday 30 August 2026, from 9:00 to 18:00 (it may be unavailable due to cleaning and the like). Use is free, and because it is a shallow stream surrounded by lawn, even small children can step in with peace of mind. It stays open until 18:00, which is welcome in the long days of summer when you can take your time. In the morning, visit Tsuki Shrine (調神社), known for its rabbit guardian statues. It is an old shrine of Urawa also famous for having no torii gate, with rabbits hidden here and there in the precincts. At lunch, cool off at Isetan Urawa (伊勢丹 浦和店) in front of Urawa Station (浦和駅) while you eat and top up your supplies, then spend the afternoon at The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama (埼玉県立近代美術館). Standing inside Kita-Urawa Park (北浦和公園), the museum lets parents and children enjoy exhibits with famous chairs you can sit on and sculptures in the garden. In the evening, send up splashes at the water play area in Kita-Urawa Higashi Park until the sun sinks low.
