2026: Full-Day Course at the Tennogawa Community Greenway Splash Stream

A one-day course starring the Tennogawa Community Greenway Splash Stream on the Tennogawa Community Greenway in Urawa-ku, Saitama City, moving back and forth between space and water. The splash stream is open from Tuesday 14 July 2026 to Sunday 30 August 2026, from 9:00 to 18:00. It was restored on 13 July 2026, and it may be unavailable due to cleaning and the like. Use is free, and its unusual design as a greenway with a babbling stream and waterfalls is its defining feature. Water flows along the long, narrow green path, so children love being able to walk and step into the water wherever they please. Because it stays open until 18:00, you can also take your time in the cooler evening hours. In the morning, feel the atmosphere of an old temple at Gyokuzoin Temple (玉蔵院) by the west exit of Urawa Station (浦和駅), then head to the Saitama City Youth Space Science Museum. With free exhibition rooms and a planetarium, you can learn about space and science hands-on. At lunch, spread out a bento in the shade at Komaba Sports Park (駒場運動公園), and in the afternoon go to the splash stream on the greenway. It is a day that combines indoors and outdoors, stillness and motion, in just the right balance.
