2026: Full-Day Course at the Water and Serenity Plaza Splash Pond

A one-day course starring the Water and Serenity Plaza (Omiya Water Distribution Plant) Splash Pond at the Water and Serenity Plaza in Omiya-ku, Saitama City, revealing an unexpected side of a waterworks facility. The splash pond runs from Wednesday 1 July 2026 to Wednesday 30 September 2026, with the plaza open from 9:00 to 17:00 and the splash pond until 16:30. It cannot be used on Friday 24 July because of cleaning, and it also closes in bad weather and during cleaning. Use is free, and this is an unusual place where the upper part of a waterworks facility called the Omiya Water Distribution Plant (大宮配水場) is opened as a water-friendly park. Knowing that the normally invisible workings of the water supply lie right under your feet makes playing in the water feel a little different. Pets are not allowed. In the morning, walk through Yono Park (与野公園), known for its rose garden, and spend time among seasonal flowers and large groves. At lunch, go to Keyaki Plaza at Saitama Super Arena. Eat in that distinctive space where real zelkova trees stand in rows on an artificial deck, and then in the afternoon play plenty in the water at the splash pond.
