2026 Water Encounter Plaza Jabujabu Pond: A Full Day Course
This one-day course savours the town of Yono, with the Water Encounter Plaza Jabujabu Pond in Chuo Ward, Saitama City as its star. The Jabujabu Pond runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The plaza itself is open 9:00 to 17:00, while the Jabujabu Pond closes at 16:30. It is unavailable on Friday, July 24 for cleaning, and also suspended during bad weather and cleaning work. Admission is free, and alongside the Jabujabu Pond there is a gateball court, making this a familiar neighbourhood plaza used daily by local residents. Pets are not allowed. Since it stays open across three months, you can also plan a September visit to avoid the peak of summer. In the morning, head to the Yono Local History Museum (与野郷土資料館), where the history of this town, once independent as Yono City (与野市), is carefully brought together. At the Sainokuni Saitama Arts Theater, walk around the building and plaza surrounded by water and greenery and soak up the air of a serious theatre. At midday, cool off at AEON Mall Yono while eating and topping up supplies, then spend a full afternoon playing at the Jabujabu Pond.
