2026 Neyagawa Park Grand Fountain in the Central Plaza Full-Day Course
Osaka Prefectural Neyagawa Park in Neyagawa City is home to Neyagawa Park Grand Fountain in the Central Plaza, a free water-play spot that rises only in summer. In 2026 it operates from Sat 7/4 to Sun 9/27: weekends only from 7/4 to 7/12, every day from Sat 7/18 to Mon 8/31, and weekends and holidays only in September. Hours must be checked in the official announcements, and it is cancelled on days of severe weather. It is a ground-jet type about 20 m across, a dynamic design in which water rises all at once from the floor. The cascade (a flowing stream) runs at the same time, so children can switch between getting soaked under the jets and sitting down in the stream. The stage is a wide central plaza where you can run around in your swimsuit, and it is free of charge. In the morning, pay your respects at Shijonawate Shrine and touch on the history connected with Kusunoki Masatsura (楠木正行), then walk the adjoining Uchiagegawa Flood Control Green Space and lay out a packed lunch. Because you walk the green belt at the foot of the Kita-Kawachi (北河内) hills before getting into the water, the day has plenty of variety without travelling far. Neyagawa-koen Station (寝屋川公園駅) on the JR Gakkentoshi Line (JR学研都市線) is right in front of the park, so you can get there without a car, which makes planning easy.
Schedule
A quiet precinct ringed by trees at the foot of Mt. Iimori, for a morning visit
An easy walk over broad grassland and waterside paths, then lunch in the shade
A thorough soaking under a ground-jet fountain about 20 m across, plus the cascade
