2026 Sakura Piyo Park Infant and Toddler Water Play Area Full-Day Course
In Sakurakita Park (桜北公園) in Minoh City there is the Sakura Piyo Park (Sakurakita Park) Infant and Toddler Water Play Area, open only during the summer. In 2026 it is open from Monday 20 July to Monday 31 August, 10:30 to 15:30, closing for a lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00 and also closing on rainy days. It opens on weekends and public holidays too, so it fits into plans even for families who find it hard to take time off on weekdays. As the name suggests, it is a shallow water play area exclusively for infants and toddlers, and the low risk of being pushed or bumped into by bigger children is the greatest reassurance for a first experience of water play. Outside the summer season the site is used as an infant park, so it was already arranged for small children to spend time safely. Admission is free. In the morning, quietly take in the history of a town that grew up alongside Minoh's mountains and waterfall at the Minoh City Museum of Local History (箕面市立郷土資料館) near Hankyu Minoh Station. At lunchtime, move to Minoh Q's Mall and get both the meal and the shopping done inside the air-conditioned building. In the afternoon, head to the water play area once the lunch break ends. With short journeys and plenty of places to rest, it is an easy day for families with infants and toddlers.
