2026 Senri Chuo Park Fountain and Stream Full-Day Course
In Senri Chuo Park, spread across a hilltop in the Senri New Town area of Toyonaka City, you will find the Senri Chuo Park Fountain / Stream (千里中央公園 噴水・せせらぎ), free to enjoy. In 2026 it operates year-round from Thursday, January 1 to Thursday, December 31, from 9:00 to 22:00, with stoppages for cleaning and inspection on May 11-15, June 1-5, July 6-10, August 24-28, September 14-18 and October 19-23. The park's distinctive feature is having all three water elements together, a fountain, a stream and a waterfall, so you can experience powerful water, shallow flowing water and falling water in one place. The grounds also have a roller slide and an observation deck, so when children tire of the water they can move their bodies or look out over the Senri townscape from high up. Admission is free. In the morning, visit the Open-Air Museum of Old Japanese Farm Houses inside Hattori Ryokuchi Park. It is Japan's first open-air museum, where thatched farmhouses relocated from across the country stand outdoors and you can step inside to experience life in the past. Have lunch at Senchu Pal in front of Senri-Chuo Station, then head to the park in the afternoon. The planned greenery of a new town, old houses from all over Japan, and water features: it is a combination only Toyonaka can offer for a full day.
