2026 Heisei Haibara Children's Forest Park Mizuito Falls Full-Day Course
This is a course for a full day of play close to home, with Mizuito Falls (splash pond) at Heisei Haibara Children's Forest Park in Uda City as the star. According to Uda City's official information, Mizuito Falls became available from Saturday, May 2, 2026. The closing date has not been announced; in most years it can be enjoyed through the summer. Admission is free, and it is a popular waterside loved as a place where even small children can play safely. Inside the park is the Land of Dinosaurs, a 400-meter-long corridor-style play structure themed on dinosaurs, so there is no shortage of places to play even when the children tire of the water. There are also indoor play areas, including an air-conditioned multipurpose hall, a play-house corner, and a toddler corner, which make good shelters during the strongest sunshine. With a total area of 14.6 hectares, the park is spacious enough to spread a picnic sheet in the shade and simply take it easy. In the morning, visit Sumisaka Shrine (墨坂神社), the guardian deity of Haibara, then finish lunch at the Udaji Haibara Roadside Station while looking over local vegetables and specialties, and in the afternoon send the spray flying at Mizuito Falls. The park is open 9:00-18:00 (April to September) and closed every Tuesday (moved to the nearest weekday when that Tuesday falls on a public holiday), so just check the day of the week before you go.
