2026 Nanakita Park Water Play Area Full-Day Course
A course for a full day of neighborhood play centered on the Nanakita Park Water Play Area in Yamaichi Sustena Park Nanakita Park (七北田公園), Izumi Ward, Sendai City. The park has water features such as Izumigaike Pond and Kamuri Pond, which fill with the cheers of children in summer. Admission is free, so you can drop by for a short while or spend the whole afternoon. Large play equipment and a lawn plaza are also on hand, so children can keep playing at their own pace: the playground when they tire of the water, the water again when they tire of the playground. The Urban Greening Hall has a nursing room and a diaper-changing table, so families with babies can relax too. It is within walking distance of Izumi-Chuo Station (泉中央駅) on the Namboku Subway Line, an easy location to plan for even without a car. In the morning, enjoy the hands-on exhibits at the 3M Sendai City Science Museum a few subway stops away, take an unhurried lunch at the shopping complex in front of Izumi-Chuo Station, then head to the park. The opening period has not been announced and it usually runs during the summer holidays, so check the City of Sendai information for that day's status before you set out.
